Emergency Preparedness Procedures <br /> The emergency preparedness procedures outlined in this plan are intended to comply with the <br /> contingency plan provisions required by MDH in the WHP and SWP. Water emergencies can occur as a <br /> result of vandalism,sabotage, accidental contamination, mechanical problems, power failings, drought, <br /> flooding, and other natural disasters.The purpose of emergency planning is to develop emergency <br /> response procedures and to identify actions needed to improve emergency preparedness. In the case of <br /> a municipality,these procedures should be in support of, and part of, an all-hazard emergency <br /> operations plan. Municipalities that already have written procedures dealing with water emergencies <br /> should review the following information and update existing procedures to address these water supply <br /> protection measures. <br /> A.
