City Council Minutes <br />June 5, 2017 <br />10.2 2018 Budget Discussion <br />Ms. Ziemer presented the staff report. <br />It was consensus of the Council to follow past practice by having department <br />directors and/or division managers present their preliminary budget requests. <br />10.3 Woodland Trails Regional Park Potential Acquisition <br />Mr. Hecker presented the staff report. <br />Page 9 <br />It was consensus of the Council to relay to Mr. Malmstrom that the city was not <br />interested in acquiring any additional parkland for Woodland Trails Regional Park, <br />noting the city does not have funding for acquisition. <br />10.4 Wayfinding Signage Bid Clarification <br />Mr. Portner and Ms. Gardner presented the staff report. <br />Council had discussion regarding funding sources, sign construction materials and <br />timeline, and sign design. <br />It was consensus of the Council for staff to return to lay out additional sign design <br />options for the kiosks and tertiary signs, and clarify stone materials. <br />11. Adjournment of Regular Meeting <br />Mayor Dietz explained the Council would be going into a closed meeting and he <br />outlined the purpose of the meeting. <br />There being no further business, Mayor Dietz adjourned the regular meeting of the <br />Elk River City Council at 10:30 p.m. <br />12. Call Closed Meeting to Order <br />Moved by Councilmember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Ovall to <br />call the closed meeting to order at 10:31 p.m. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Mayor Dietz stated on the record that the meeting would be closed pursuant to MN <br />Statute Section 13D.05, Subd. 3c to develop or consider offers or counteroffers for <br />the purchase of the following real property: <br />■ PID 75-410-0735, also known as 709 Proctor Avenue NW <br />• PID 75-410-0730, legally described as Lot 7, Block 7 WH Houlton's <br />Addition <br />ro�[eto et <br />NA'T'URE <br />
