<br />Memorandum-Land Use and <br />Station Area Planning Program <br />April 28, 1999 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Subtask 2.2.5 Preliminary Station Architecture <br /> <br />a. Goal: Provide preliminary station architectural design. <br /> <br />b. Contacts/Reviews: Incorporate the review of station architecture alternatives <br />with the reviews of Station Area Site Planning efforts. <br /> <br />c. Work Products: Prepare the following presentation graphics for use as <br />documentation of issues. <br /> <br />1. DESIGN PLANS: Prepare up to 3 alternate station structure design <br />concept plan. Plans may also include elevations arid sections intended to <br />illustrate the concept for each. Once a preferred architectural design has <br />been selected by the Station Area Design Team, a more detailed plan and <br />elevation plan will be prepared. <br /> <br />2. STUDY MODEL: A simple study model of the preferred architectural <br />design will be constructed. . <br /> <br />d. Schedule: A majority of the design and plan preparation work will be <br />accomplished during the months of August and September, with reviews <br />occurring in late September through October. Final design plans could occur <br />in the month of November. <br /> <br />Task 5.4 <br /> <br />CONCEPTUAL ENGINEERING FOR EACH STATION SITE PLAN <br /> <br />Station site plans will be developed under Task 2.1 Station Area Planning and Design. <br />Conceptual engineering will be completed on the following plan elements: <br /> <br />Park and Ride facility <br />Feeder bus access, layout and egress <br />Auto access and egress <br />Pedestrian and bicycle access and egress <br /> <br />The conceptual engineering will include: <br /> <br />Analysis of potential private and public utilities. Preliminary designs to <br />rectify any major conflicts between the commuter real facilities and the <br />affected utilities will be completed. This analysis will include preliminary <br />drainage analysis and design. The design will size- and locate any required <br />detention and/or retention facilities for storm water. The Contractor will <br />consult with BNSF to determine the information available. <br /> <br />. <br />
