<br />City Council Minutes - Special Meeting <br />May 17,1999 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE RECEIVING PROPOSALS FOR <br />REVISING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL ORDINANCE. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Lori Zeimer, Assistant Finance Director, stated that the Finance Department takes <br />the lead in the City Safety Program. Lori reviewed the foot protection policy and <br />prescription safety eyewear policy proposed by the safety committee. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED ADOPTION OF THE FOOT PROTECTION POLICY AS <br />PRESENTED, WHICH ALLOWS ELIGIBLE FULL TIME EMPLOYEES TO BE REIMBURSED UP TO <br />$150 PER YEAR FOR PROTECTIVE FOOTWEAR, AND $50 PER YEAR FOR ELIGIBLE PART <br />TIME EMPLOYEES, AND, ADOPTION OF THE PRESCRIPTION SAFETY EYEWEAR POLICY <br />WHICH ALLOWS ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES TO RECEIVE A COMPLETE PAIR OF PROTECTIVE <br />EYE WEAR EVERY TWO YEARS. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4.
