<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Elk River Park and Recreation Commission <br />Joint Meeting with City Council <br />April 26, 1999 <br />6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mission Statement: <br />To be advocates for the people of Elk River in the stewardship of the city owned <br />parks and trails and to advise the Elk River City Council concerning the acquisition, <br />management, and development of the city parks, trails, and recreational facilities. <br /> <br />Rules of Procedures <br /> <br />1. Conduct regular monthly meetings during which local citizens can voice park, trail <br />and/or recreation concerns to the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />2. Attend monthly Planning Commission and City Council meetings, to support the Park <br />and Recreation Commission's recommendations on park, trail and/or recreation issues, as <br />needed. The recording secretary will assign each of the commissioners to attend these <br />meetings on a rotating schedule. Attendance at upcoming Planning Commission and City <br />Council meetings will be considered as an agenda item at monthly Park and Recreation <br />Commission meetings. <br /> <br />3. Conduct special meetings as projects arise throughout the year. <br /> <br />4. Distribute new member packets to new Park and Recreation Commission members. <br />Packets include the following: <br /> <br />*Park and Recreation Commissioners' names, phone numbers and addresses. <br /> <br />*Planning Commissioners' names, phone numbers and addresses <br /> <br />*City Council members' names, phone numbers, addresses, ward, ward location, <br />goals for city's parks, trails and recreational facilities. <br /> <br />5. Update Master Park Plan as needed. <br /> <br />6. Determine annual budget and make recommendations for expenditures. <br />
