TRAIL CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> A. This Section includes the following: <br /> 1. International Mountain Bicycling Association(IMBA) Guidelines <br /> 2. Trail Specifications <br /> 3. Mechanical Equipment Restrictions <br /> 4. Clearing and Grubbing <br /> 5. Trail Tread Construction <br /> 1.2 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> A. Measurement and payment will be as indicated on the Proposal for Contract Work. <br /> 1. The Lineal Foot (LF) unit price shall constitute full <br /> compensation for furnishing all material, extra equipment, labor, and <br /> supplies and performing all operations necessary to construct the min- <br /> imum tread width trail section set forth in the Contract Documents <br /> and not specifically included in other pay items. The LF amount in- <br /> cludes but is not limited to the following: <br /> • Grubbing the trail clear zone; <br /> • Excavating the tread; <br /> • Manually finishing the trail tread and back slope; <br /> • Constructing surface water control features; <br /> • Constructing jumpable features alongside trail; <br /> • Restoring areas adjacent to the trail disturbed by trail <br /> construction; and <br /> • All other associated work items and manual labor <br /> required for construction of trail shall be consid- <br /> ered incidental. <br /> B. Any item or activity that is required and not specifically included in the above <br /> pay items shall be considered incidental to the Total Unit Price Bid Amount. <br /> 1.3 IMBA GUIDELINES <br /> A. All trail construction and associated work shall be in accordance with IMBA <br /> guidelines unless the Contract Documents specify more stringent require- <br /> ments. <br /> B.
