The color of the leachate was expected to <br />adversely affect the performance of UV disinfection system. Therefore, the removal <br />of colloidal particulates and color at the existing Elk River WWTF will be evaluated <br />during the pilot study. <br />C. Report Organization <br />This report is broken up into four sections. Section one covers the background <br />information and the purpose behind the pilot study. Section two covers the <br />experimental set-up and testing procedure(s) while section three covers the results <br />and discussion.
