This bus <br />improvement option would feed the following options with riders: commuter rail, commuter rail . <br />with Anoka County LRT, and commuter rail with Anoka County HOY. <br /> <br />HOY <br /> <br />The Anoka County HOY alternative assumes construction or implementation of visually or barrier <br />separated lanes for the exclusive use of transit and other high occupancy vehicles. The Anoka <br />County HOY alternative is based on and may include operating and infrastructure improvements <br />designated with the commuter rail alternative. <br /> <br />Light Rail Transit <br /> <br />The light rail transit alternative includes only an operation with commuter rail within Anoka <br />County. The alignment would be connected with the commuter rail alignment with various <br />intermodal facilities located along the corridor within Anoka County. The LRT line would be part <br />of a regional system of LRT facilities within the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The current <br />alignment of the proposed Northeast LRT line begins in downtown Minneapolis and travels to the <br />Northtown Station primarily along TH 47. <br /> <br />TH 10/47 Minor Upgrade <br /> <br />Minor upgrades to the corridor roadway were described in Section IV of this report. Minor <br />upgrades were considered to be addition of right- or left-turn lanes, ITS technologies for traffic . <br />management, access consolidation, frontage road development, signal improvement/coordination, <br />and construction of interchanges at key locations. <br /> <br />TH 10/47 Maior Upgrade <br /> <br />Major upgrades to the corridor roadway were described in Section IV of this report.
