Social, Economic, Land Use and Environmental Analysis <br /> <br />Economic and Development Implications <br /> <br />The same methodology and analysis being used for this task in the <br />Northstar Corridor MIS and Commuter Rail Feasibility Study will be <br />used for the extension study to St. Joseph of the Commuter Rail <br />alternative. Many times transportation investments in a corridor which <br />connect small towns, suburbs, and developing areas with a major city <br />accomplish more than merely moving people quicker and more <br />efficiently. <br /> <br />Environmental Screening Analysis <br /> <br />The same methodology and analysis being used for this task in the <br />Northstar Corridor MIS and Commuter Rail Feasibility Study will be <br />used for the extension study to St. Joseph. An environmental screening <br />analysis will be conducted of likely environmental and social effects of <br />the commuter rail alternative. <br /> <br />The screening analysis will be summarized in a technical memorandum <br />sufficient to include in a subsequent state or federal environmental <br />document. <br /> <br />F. Financial Analysis <br /> <br />The same methodology and analysis being used for this task in the <br />Northstar Corridor MIS and Commuter Rail Feasibility Study will be <br />used for the extension study to St. Joseph.
