Sagstetter suggested sending a press release to the Star News. Curtis suggested <br />creating slides to add to the erTV. Herman mentioned a printing error. <br />5.3 EV Charger Grant <br />Sagstetter discussed the APPA DEED grant approval for $40,000 for EV education <br />campaign and data collection. ER -MU will plan to purchase a DC fastcharger in 2016 <br />for installation in 2017. ERMU and city staff have been meeting to develop the <br />campaign. Curtis suggested creating a list of possible EV chargers in Elk River. Mroz <br />mentioned that we could work with P1ugInConnect that will bring stakeholders <br />together to have those discussions and investigate proper locations. <br />5.4 SustainERliMatter <br />Mrm provided an updated of the first two youth group meetings. The committee <br />has selected the name SustainER and has begun working with iMatter. Mroz showed <br />a video introduction to iMatter and described the reportcard. Mroz requested a <br />motion for SustainER to continue working with iMatter. <br />Flatland motioned for SustainER to work ivith iMatter. Haskins seconded Alotion Passed <br />5.5 Visionary Sub -Committee <br />Mroz proposed that the Visionary Sub -Committee meet to discuss updates to the 10 - <br />year Action Plan. <br />Sagstet%r nominated Herman. Herman accepted. <br />Herman nominated Sagstetter. Sagstetier accepted <br />Flatland nominated Hoskins Hoskins accepted <br />Mroz will send an email to ask if any absent commissioners would be interested and <br />to set up meeting times. <br />5.6 Signage <br />Mroz provided an update on the Energy City signs that were replaced at the city <br />entrances. Mroz provided an update about the University of St. Thomas Sustainable <br />Communities Partnership class that is interested in working with Energy City signage <br />for the spring semester. Hoskins suggested looking into the Heritage Trail in Boston. <br />Herman suggested using the Great River Energy headquarters as an example. <br />5.7 Community Center <br />Mroz provided an update about the non -passage of the Community Center <br />referendum on November 8. Hoskins requested that whichever decision is made by <br />the city, that the Energy City Commission be involved. <br />5.8 Mayor's Monarch Pledge <br />
