The <br /> Commission also establishes its expectations for the orientation of new Commission members. <br /> Policy: <br /> The Commissioners of ERMU are trustees, acting in the interests of customers, employees and <br /> other stakeholders. ERMU stakeholders expect the Commission to make policy decisions that <br /> ensure appropriate organizational performance as set forth in the Commission's adopted Vision, <br /> Core Purpose, Mission, and Core Values. <br /> Consistent with this general statement: <br /> 1. The Commission will continuously create and enhance connections between <br /> ERMU and its stakeholders. <br /> 2. The Commission will produce, maintain and use written governing policies that, at <br /> the broadest levels, address each of the following categories of deliberation and <br /> decision-making. <br /> Authority and Purpose: Policies that recognize the Utilities' and <br /> Commission's right to exist, and authorities and policies to define <br /> organizational core purpose. <br /> Governance: Policies that specify how the Commission conceives, carries <br /> out and monitors its own tasks. <br /> Commission-Management Connection: How organizational authority is <br /> delegated, its proper use is monitored, and the General Manager is <br /> accountable for ERMU's performance. <br /> Delegation to Management: Limitations on executive authority that <br /> establish the prudence and ethics boundaries within which all executive <br /> activity and decisions must take place. <br /> Results: ERMU's outcomes, impacts and benefits. <br /> 3.
