<br />. <br /> <br />Work Program <br /> <br />1.0 Complete Phase II of the Northstar Corridor :MIS <br /> <br />1.1 Refine the Transportation Strategies to be Evaluated <br /> <br />1.1.1 No-Build Alternative <br />Refine the fixed facilities and transit improvements included in the Transportation <br />Improvement Program (TIPs) along the corridor; these projects will be included <br />in the No-Build Alternative. <br /> <br />1.1.2 Transportation Management <br />Refine the low-cost infrastructure improvements and bus transit improvements for <br />the corridor. Included will be Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Travel <br />Demand Management, bus operations, and Transportation Systems Management <br />improvements. The initial work completed during Phase I will be used as the <br />base. <br /> <br />1.1.3 Transportation Strategy 1 <br />Refine the strategy that includes commuter rail service and feeder bus <br />improvements. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1.1.4 Transportation Strategy 2 <br />Refine the strategy that includes the improvements in Strategy 1 plus minor <br />upgrades to TH 10. The candidate minor improvements include selected <br />interchanges, access control, frontage road development, signal <br />improvements/coordination, etc. <br /> <br />1.1.5 Transportation Strategy 3 <br />Refine the strategy that includes the improvements in Strategy 2 plus new <br />Mississippi River crossing(s). <br /> <br />The results will be documented in a Technical Memorandum. <br /> <br />1.2 Define the Evaluation Framework <br /> <br />The evaluation framework will include the same four subject areas used in Phase I: <br /> <br />. Mobility benefits <br />. Safety benefits <br />. Environmental impacts including land use <br />.
