<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RECYCLING <br />MODEL AGREEMENT <br /> <br />This Agreement is between the City of Elk River, located at 13065 Orono <br />Parkway, Elk River, Minnesota, hereinafter the City; and the Boys and Girls Club <br />of Elk River, Inc., to be located at 905 6th Street, Elk River, Minnesota, hereinafter <br />the Club. <br /> <br />Whereas reduction, reuse, recycling, and education are important strategies <br />for abating landfill use; and <br /> <br />Whereas the City has certain funds available from landfill host fees that can <br />be used for establishing model recycling sites; and <br /> <br />Whereas the Club would like to use its building as a showcase for recycling <br />and recycled content building materials: <br /> <br />Therefore the City agrees to provide the Club the sum of Dollars <br />($xx,xxx) to purchase and install in the Clubs new construction building, materials <br />that are made from recycled products under the following terms and conditions. <br /> <br />1. All recycled materials that are purchased with money provided by the <br />City shall be pre-approved by the City through their Environmental <br />Representative. <br /> <br />2. All recycled materials approved by the City and installed in the Club's <br />building shall be identified by signage approved by the City' <br />Representative. <br /> <br />3. The Club's building, upon completion, shall be available to the City to use <br />as a show case in leading environmental tours, seminars and the like. <br />Availability shall be any time that the building is covered by a staff <br />person and will not dramatically interfere with the program purposes of <br />the Club. <br /> <br />4. Signage revealing the Club as a Recycling Showcase, at the option of the <br />City, and at their expense, and upon the proper approval and conformity <br />to City Ordinances, may be placed outside the Club so long as it does not <br />over-shadow the Club's signage or lead anyone to believe that the building <br />is established for anything other than the Club's programing purposes. <br /> <br />5. The Club agrees to conduct recycling and waste reduction programs <br />during the construction of the Club's building. <br />
