Elk River Public Library Board Page 3 <br /> September 27,2016 <br /> 11111 ■ There will be a 24 x 24 master kiosk sign at the front of the <br /> building that will show patrons where the rain&butterfly <br /> gardens are located. <br /> 5.3 Library Grounds Report <br /> There were no questions or comments about the library Grounds Report. <br /> Will reported that not all the sprinkler heads have been replaced yet. <br /> 5.4 Building Maintenance Report <br /> The Library Board's budget will be billed for the rock garden solution to the <br /> roof drain problem. <br /> 5.5 Board Member Zone Updates <br /> ■ After discussion it was decided that the recording secretary will compile a <br /> list of projects from the zone updates and forward to Tim Sevcik; the list <br /> will have pending items for a status report and new items identified that <br /> need to be scheduled. Additionally, the recording secretary will compile a <br /> list of items to be purchased/added to the CIP at the end of the Library <br /> Zone Report. <br /> • ■ Willie provided an office catalog with stand up desks she thought might <br /> be a good solution in the teenage seating area. <br /> ■ Parks and Recreation reported that someone from the Friends of the <br /> Library emailed the department asking if they could put a permanent <br /> bench in one of the rain gardens. Michael Hecker is getting pricing for a <br /> bench similar to others placed on city grounds. <br /> 5.6 City Council Report <br /> Councilman Olsen noted that the GRRL programming guide shows that all <br /> Elk River programs are sponsored by the City of Elk River,which is not <br /> accurate. Councilman Olsen would like to know how many programs GRRL <br /> sponsors. Brandi thinks GRRL provides $850 in additional program staffing. <br /> After discussion,it was agreed that adding measurable goals and statistics on <br /> class attendance would help when asking for additional programming funds <br /> from the City during the budget process. <br /> 5.7 Patron Services Supervisors Report <br /> There were no questions or comments about the Patron Services Supervisors <br /> report. <br /> 4111 • Brandi added that the St. Cloud library will be reopening at the end <br /> of October. <br /> r011EIEI IT <br /> NATURE <br />
