The Scope of Services would provide for the <br />development of a set of environmental documents, plans, specifications and cost <br />estimates sufficient to advertise for bids and construction facilities. The RFP <br />included the contract terms and a maximum contract amount of $100,000.00. On <br />October 31,2000, the NCDA released the RFP for professional services. <br />Proposals were due November 30, 2000. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />An evaluation team was formed to evaluate all responses to the RFP. This team <br />consisted of: <br />Tim Yantos, Project Manager, NCDA Commuter Rail Project <br />Gabriel Guevara, Mn/DOT <br />Ken Stevens, NCDA Consultant <br />Mary Richardson, Richardson, Richter & Associates <br />Jan Lucke, Richardson, Richter & Associates <br />Ed Shukle, Anoka County <br /> <br />Two firms responded to the RFP: URS/BRW and TKDA. The evaluation team is <br />in the process of checking references this week, and will submit its evaluation <br />and a recommendation at the NCDA meeting on December 7,2000. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Action Requested: That the NCDA consider the selection of the engineering <br />firm for the engineering and design services for multi- <br />modal facilities to be located in the City of Ramsey and the <br />City of Coon Rapids (Riverdale) and recommend that the <br />Anoka County Regional Railroad Authority execute a <br />contract in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 for <br />services and expenses with a term of December 12, 2000 <br />through March 30, 2001. <br /> <br />Northstar Corridor Development Authority <br />2100 3nl Avenue, Anoka, Minnesota 55303-2265 (763) 323-5700 Fax: (763) 323-5682 www.northstartrain.org <br />
