The Scope of Services would provide for public information and <br />involvement services to help NCDA foster a well informed public which feels it <br />has opportunities to contribute to project decision making through a broad array <br />of involvement opportunities in 2001. The RFP included the contract terms and a <br />maximum contract amount of $250,000.00. On October 19, 2000, the NCDA <br />released the RFP for professional services. Proposals were due November 28, <br />2000. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />An evaluation team was formed to evaluate all responses to the RFP. This team <br />consisted of: <br />Tim Yantos, Project Manager, NCDA Commuter Rail Project <br />Jeff Dehler, Anoka County <br />Jan Lucke, Richardson, Richter & Associates <br />Mary Richardson, Richardson, Richter & Associates <br />Kelly Nau, City of Becker <br />Mary McFarland, Mn/DOT <br /> <br />Two firms responded to the RFP: Himle Horner and Padilla, Speer, Beardsley. <br />The evaluation team is in the process of checking references this week, and will <br />submit its evaluation and a recommendation at the NCDA meeting on <br />December 7,2000. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Action Requested: That the NCDA consider the selection of the firm for <br />professional services to conduct public information and <br />participation activities and authorize the Chair to finalize <br />negotiations and execute a contract in an amount not to <br />exceed $250,000.00 for services and expenses with a term <br />of January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001. <br /> <br />Northstar Corridor Development Authority <br />2100 3rd Avenue, Anoka, Minnesota 55303-2265 (763) 323-5700 Fax: (763) 323-5682 www.northstartrain.org <br />
