FOR 3.2% BEER OFF-SALE LICENSE - APPROVED <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />4.1 . Authorize Advertisement for Bids for Fire Deoartment Pumoer <br /> <br />Fire Chief Bruce West requested council approval to advertise for bids for a new 1250 <br />GPM Class A Pumper. The pumper will be a replacement for the 1972 Ford pumper. The <br />bids also include a provision for bidding a demonstration pumper. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A 1250 GPM CLASS A PUMPER <br />FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />Fire Chief West spoke about a structure fire that recently took place and thanked the <br />police reserves for their assistance. <br /> <br />4.2. <br /> <br />Consider Residential Refuse Dlsoosal Contract <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Building and Zoning Administrator Steve Rohlf indicated that the city recently entered <br />into a disposal contract with Sherburne County to have the city's residential garbage <br />delivered to NRG's Resource Recovery Facility during 2001 at a fee of $45 per ton. Steve <br />indicated that the county is now requesting the city to extend the contract to August 31, <br />2008 at the same tipping fee of $45 per ton. Steve noted that this would help to stabilize <br />garbage prices for the next 8 years. Steve further noted that Article X (J.)(6) states that <br />the city may terminate this contract after a 30-day notice. <br />
