approximately 70 tents and/or RVs. Utility hook ups will not be provided. A gravel access road
will be graded to access the overnight camping space. Phase I work is expected to be complete by
spring 2017 to allow for two off-road truck race events during 2017, one weekend each during the
summer and fall. Portions of the property that are not affected by Phase 1 activities will also be
evaluated for potential sand/gravel mining.
Future plans (Phase 2) would be based upon the realized success of Phase I and potentially may
occur over a 2-10 year time period. Phase 2 could include further development of the campground
area intended only for short-term use by event participants and spectators. The Phase 2
campground would include a mix of approximately 240 tent and RV campsites. To serve the
campsites, arterial roads (gravel) would branch from an access road (gravel) and loop through the
proposed campground area. Restroom buildings would be considered and may be constructed to
serve the campground development and would be designed to meet all appropriate state and local
regulations. Utility hook ups would not be provided for the campsites. Other potential future
improvements could include a small storage shed approximately 144 square feet in size and a
grandstand to replace portable bleacher units currently utilized for spectator seating.
Beyond Phase 2, ERX Motor Park will monitor active, on-going sand and gravel mining activities
on land adjacent to the north which ERX Motor park currently has an agreement to utilize for
event parking. If mining activities result in the creation open -water pond areas sufficient for use
by personal watercraft (PWC), then ERX Motor Park will evaluate the opportunity for PWC
events.
Large machinery necessary for site preparation is anticipated to include backhoes, bulldozers,
graders, and trucks. Vegetation clearing and implementation of erosion control measures will be
sequenced as construction proceeds.
c.
