The
City of Fridley elected the "disapprove" option as described in State Statute 174.86 in regards to
the proposed location and design of the commuter rail station, and specifically outlined the
amendments by which the City would remove its disapproval. The resolution also identifies
several concerns in the "be it resolved" statements that the City of Fridley would like a response
from the NCDA or MnDOT.

Thank you for your cooperation, attendance at the Fridley public meetings (and Ken Stevens
too!), and for coordinating a revised plan in time for the September 25, 2000 Council meeting.
The additional site design analysis helped the City to clarify its concerns and to identify
alternatives to address them.

As noted during the meetings, the City Council wanted to insure that the neighborhood would be
made aware of the hearings for the Environmental Impact Statement. Feel free to contact me
with any materials, and I can arrange to have that sent to the people on the City's mailing list.

Should you have :my questions, please feel free to contact me at 763-572-3590.

C-00-185

.
