<br /> <br /> <br />THE CITY OF RICE <br /> <br />205 Main St. E <br />Post Office Box 22 <br />Rice, Minnesota 56367 <br />320-393-2280 <br /> <br />It8r~ <br />uu. <br />Faa <br />ECOIlOMIC <br />C DEVELOPMENr <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NUMBER 10-12-00 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE NORTHSTAR CORRIDOR <br />STATION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF RICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS; The City of Rice has been involved with and is a member <br />of the NorthStar Corridor Development Authority (NCDA), <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; NCDA and the Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />(MnDOT) are in the process of planning and implementation <br />of a commuter train'transit operation on the Burlington <br />Northern/Santa Fe Railroad tracks, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; <br /> <br />The Advanced Cor~idor Plan for the commuter train <br />operation has included the siting of a station in Rice on <br />Division Street adjacent to the Burlington Northern/Santa <br />Fe, and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS; Minnesota Statute 174.86 provides each city the <br />opportunity to approve or disapprove the location and <br />initial design of the station located in each respective <br />city, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; The Rice City Council finds the initial conceptual plan <br />for the station to be acceptable, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Rice City Council approves <br />the Advanced Corridor Plan for the City under conditions that <br />revised or more refined plans will be forthcoming for review by the <br />City and that final plans for the station will comply with City <br />Ordinances and development standards. <br /> <br />Dated this Twelfth day of October, 2000. <br /> <br />Cff:?~;~~uJ 0 '/:~Jf~/ <br /> <br />~chael Fia-d'li'r, Mayor of Rice <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RICE.
