The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Elk River Mining District, which encompassed 2,865 acres immediately adjacent to the Project, included an analysis of cumulative impacts related to noise, air quality, traffic, dust and surface and groundwater quality. The City of Elk River was the Responsible Government Unit conducting the environmental review. The Elk River Mining District EIS concluded that any negative cumulative effects could be regulated within the framework of the CUPS issued for each individual mining operation. It is anticipated that, as is the case with the other existing mining operations, the CUP will contain conditions which will address and satisfactorily regulate potential environmental impacts associated with noise, fugitive dust, surface and groundwater protection, and Site reclamation. 20. Other potential environmental effects: If the project may cause any additional environmental effects not addressed by items 1 to 19, describe the effects here, discuss the how the environment will be affected, and identify measures that will be taken to minimize and mitigate these effects. There are no other known potential environmental impacts resulting from this project that are not addressed in items 1-19. RGU CERTIFICATION.
