Councilmember Gumphrey indicated that he would like to serve <br />as Council Liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER TO APPOINT COUNCILMEMBER <br />GUMPHREY TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION AND TO <br />APPOINT COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AS COUNCIL LIAISON TO THE <br />HERITAGE PRESERYATION COMMISSION WITH ALL COUNCIL LIAISON <br />TERMS TO EXPIRE DECEMBER 31, 2006. <br /> <br />6.3. Appointment of City Council Representatives to Ice Arena Commission <br /> <br />City Clerk Joan Schmidt indicated that staff is requesting appointment of a City Council <br />representative to the Ice Arena Commission. <br /> <br />Councilmember Farber stated that he has served on the Ice Arena CommisslOn before and <br />would be interested in serving on the Commission again. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO APPOINT COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AS <br />COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE ICE ARENA COMMISSION WITH A <br />TERM EXPIRATION OF FEBRUARY28, 2007. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.4. <br /> <br />Consider Appointments to City/County Transportation Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers stated that the City/County Transportation Committee is an <br />informal group that meets to discuss City/County transportation issues. NIt. Klaers stated <br />that the Committee generally meets on a quarterly basis on the fourth Tuesday of the month <br />at 3:30 p.m. Mr. Klaers indicated that the two previous Councilmembers on the <br />City /County Transportation Committee were Councilmembers Kuester and Tveite. He <br />stated that staffis requesting that the Council consider two new appointments to the <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing indicated that she would like to attend the meeting as a city representative. <br />Councilmember Gumphrey also stated that he would be interested in serving as a city <br />representative. Councilmember Farber stated that he would too be interested but maybe at a <br />later date. Mayor Klinzing suggested that Councilmember Farber be appointed as an <br />alternate to the Committee. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN TO APPOINT MAYOR KLINZING AND <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY TO THE CITY/COUNTY <br />TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE WITH COUNCILMEMBER FARBER <br />APPOINTED AS AN ALTERNATE. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.5. <br /> <br />Discuss Council Worksession Agenda <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers reviewed the January and February tentative Council <br />worksessionagendas. NIt. Klaers indicated that Council input on the worksession agenda is <br />necessary. Mr. Klaers.stated that staffplans in March to have the City Council review and <br />discuss transportation priorities as a follow-up to the November worksessiort and to discuss <br />
