Mr. Justin Femrite, City Engineer <br />October 12, 2016 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION AND ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />This phase consists of observing the construction to ensure that all work conforms to the approved <br />plans and specifications. The Project Manager will be available for clarifications or for interpretation <br />of the plans and specifications and will make weekly site visits. We will record actual quantities of <br />work and evaluate change order requests, if necessary. We will also prepare Pay Applications, and <br />other pertinent items in administering the construction contract. It is proposed that no more than 4 <br />weeks be allowed for the construction of the project. <br /> <br /> Estimated Cost: $24,000 <br /> <br />SCHEDULE <br /> <br />We would anticipate the following schedule for this project: <br /> <br />Submit Proposal October 12, 2016 <br />City Council Considers Proposal October 17, 2016 <br />Kickoff Meeting with City Staff November 2, 2016 <br />Topographic Survey November 7, 2016 <br />50% Plan Set Submitted for City Review December 16, 2016 <br />90% Plan Set Submitted for City Review January 20, 2017 <br />City Council Considers approval of Plans/Ad for Bids February 6, 2017 <br />Bids Opened March 2017 <br />Construction Summer 2017 <br /> <br />PROJECT TEAM <br /> <br />The team for this project was carefully selected based on their qualifications, experience and availability. Due <br />to the importance we have placed in serving you, your team will include many of our key employees with a <br />wealth of relevant experience. We have assembled a team of qualified staff members to complete the work <br />efficiently, cost effectively and professionally. <br /> <br />Shane Nelson, P.E., is proposed to be the Project Manager. Shane is a Vice President of the <br />firm and brings over 16 years of experience in street and utility construction to the team. Shane <br />has designed and managed over 60 miles of newly constructed and reconstructed streets. Shane <br />will be the day to day contact for the project and will be involved in all aspects of the project. <br />Shane will lead the team and track the progress on a daily basis to ensure that the project remains <br />on schedule. Shane will attend all meetings with the City, coordinate activities, closely manage <br />all work and ensure that all responsibilities and services of the contract, and deliverables are completed on time <br />and within budget. <br /> <br />Craig Jochum, P.E., is proposed to be the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Reviewer. Craig <br />is a Principal of Hakanson Anderson with over 25 years of experience in civil infrastructure <br />projects. Craig has extensive experience in managing large infrastructure projects, determining <br />critical paths for schedules, and excels in effective communication to ensure that projects are run <br />smoothly and that all deliverables are prepared to the highest quality. Craig will peer review the <br />construction plans and specifications in accordance with our established Quality Manual. <br /> <br />
