<br />City Council / CU 04-37 <br />January 18, 2005 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />If denial of such a permit should occur, it shall accompany recommendations or <br />determinations by fIndings or a report stating how the proposed use does not comply with <br />the standards set forth in section 30-654. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action <br /> <br />The Planning Commission discussed the issue of outdoor storage of buses after an adjacent <br />property owner asked that a condition be placed on the request that did not allow storage of <br />unusable vehicles on site. <br /> <br />The applicant stated that buses might be stored outside overnight and was agreeable with a <br />condition which limited overnight parking to 24-48 hours. <br /> <br />One Commission member was not willing to support the request until County Road 44 <br />(Meadowvale Road) was upgraded to support the added bus traffIc. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended approval of the request by a 6-1 vote. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff and the Planning Commission recommend City Council approve the Conditional Use <br />Permit with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Outdoor storage of inoperable buses or bus parts is prohibited. Occasional <br />overnight outdoor parking of buses is allowed. <br />2. All bus maintenance shall occur within the building. <br />3. The building shall comply with all building codes. <br />4. The building shall comply with all fire codes. <br />5. If more than 7 buses are to be stored in the building, the applicant shall apply <br />for an amendment to the Conditional Use permit. <br />6.
