<br />A-321 <br /> <br />IV. EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT <br /> <br />(Goal #1 - Increase educational achievement with high expectations for all students and <br />staff. <br /> <br />A. Closed Board Meeting <br /> <br />The School Board is asked to set a Special Closed School Board Meeting for the <br />purpose of discussing negotiations with teaching assistants. <br /> <br />V. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br />(Goal #3 - Demonstrate district accountability through the continuous improvement <br />process.) <br /> <br />A. Resolution Adoption Regarding the Authority to Purchase, Lease, and Contract <br />for Goods and Services <br /> <br />Recommend the School Board adopt the Resolution Adoption Regarding the <br />Authority to Purchase, Lease and Contract for Goods and Services as <br />follows: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Superintendent, Director of School Operations, <br />Director of Special Projects, Administrator of Business Operations and/or <br />Manager of Purchasing be delegated authority to purchase, lease, or contract for <br />goods and services in the name of Independent School District 728, Sherburne <br />County, Elk River, Minnesota, within the budget as approved by the Board, <br />provided that any transaction in the amount exceeding the minimum amount for <br />which bids are required must first be specifically authorized by the Board and <br />must fulfill all other applicable requirements in Minnesota Statute 123B.52. <br /> <br />B. Naming of School District <br /> <br />Recommend the School Board bring back Motion 04-39 that was tabled at <br />the School Board Meeting of October 12, 2004, which reads, "Henry moved <br />and Peterson seconded the motion to have the district consider an all- <br />inclusive name for the entire district." <br /> <br />The motion was tabled until information was available on what it would cost the <br />district to make a name change. As a guide, the Naming Facilities and Fields <br />Policy #2023 is included on A-326/327. <br />
