IProposed Project Team and Experience - Section 4
Project Example No. 1 A
• .
City of Anoka
2015 - 1 st Avenue N. REAL. CLASSIC.
Anoka, MN 55303
(763) 576-2781
Contact Person:
Greg Lee, City Manager
Consultant City Engineer since 1985
1999 -2016 Street Renewal Program:
The City of Anoka implemented a comprehensive Street Renewal Program in 1999 to systematically replace and
upgrade its aging infrastructure, some of which dates to the 1880's. When residential streets are scheduled for
reconstruction, the City trusts Hakanson Anderson to complete a thorough investigation of the existing facilities in
order to coordinate and replace all old or undersized facilities. We have been assisting the City of Anoka with its
Street Renewal Program since its inception.
The Street Renewal Projects typically consist of the complete reconstruction of streets, storm sewer, sanitary sewer,
watermain, sidewalk, lift stations and small utilities within existing urban neighborhoods. The aging sanitary sewer
mains and laterals are replaced, as well as the cast iron watermains. Hakanson Anderson assists the City early on
by helping to gain public support for the project at the annual neighborhood meeting. During construction,
frequent communication with the City and affected property owners is the key in maintaining access and realizing a
successful project. Our design team always meets with the small utility companies early in the design process to
coordinate the impacts and allow the opportunity for replacement of private lines, as well as City owned electric
facilities. The City Electric Utility seizes the opportunity to replace the existing overhead cobra street lights with
underground wiring and decorative style street lights.
Project Cost: Range from $850,000 to $2,700,000
Design Criteria: Municipal State Aid and City Standards
Funding: Assessment,Municipal State Aid and Local
Status: On-going
Proposed Team Members Roles:
Craig Jochum: Project Manager
Tim Eggerichs: Design Engineer
Shane Nelson: Design Engineer
Dave St. Dennis: CADD Technician and Construction Observer
Brian Person: Construction Staking
Jon Halter: Construction Observer
]Xr
Nk
 rt
1
Proposed Project Team and Experience, Page 14
