Page 2 of the report shows an example of the new catalog search <br /> platform. There will be more search levels and more browsing but the final <br /> look will be a little less `academic-looking'.The public mobile website is <br /> planned to go live this summer. <br /> 5.8 library Services Coordinator Report <br /> • Will reported that since he sent out his report the library has now <br /> raised over$400 in their"high five" fundraising campaign. <br /> • As part of his local action plan, Elk River decided to focus on the <br /> 55+ age group as its target audience. They will begin outreach next <br /> month but some ideas are: 1) ERTV announcements;2) Having a <br /> Sherburne County public health nurse onside for free monthly talks <br /> on different subjects of interest to this age group; 3) They already <br /> have an AARP tax aid onsite Tues/Thurs from 9:30-12:30 to <br /> complete tax returns and file them.They get over 500 people a year <br /> that come for this service. <br /> 5.9 GRRL Trustee Report <br /> • • Mary was appointed to the Fund Development committee and their first task <br /> is to develop a plan of attack. <br /> • She talked to a patron from Princeton in Sherburne County who brought up <br /> the question of regional lines. They had concern for disabled persons, elderly <br /> people and children getting library services. <br /> • Brandi mentioned if the GRRL restructure goes as planned they will get an <br /> outreach librarian who will be looking at serving the homebound, elderly and <br /> disabled and have talked about having book clubs at assisted living facilities. <br /> 6.0 Adjournment <br /> Councilman Olsen said he reports to Council at the first meeting of each month, so <br /> if anyone has library board news they want him to report to council, send him an <br /> email before the meeting. <br /> There being no further business, Chair Dietz adjourned the meeting of the Elk River <br /> Public Library Board at 6:50 p.m. <br /> Minutes submitted . ra Wetch. <br /> c_.---'7Z <br /> III <br /> Tina Allard, City Clerk <br /> heiEIEI 11 <br /> NATURE <br />
