General Business <br /> 5.1 New Business <br /> 5.1.a Tim Simon, Finance Director and Gary Lore,Building Maintenance <br /> Supervisor. <br /> Tim reported: <br /> • All budget items are tracking with no variances. <br /> • He will begin to update the CIP in May. He will sit down with <br /> Tim Sevcik and Gary Lore to discuss any items to add to the CIP. <br /> The CIP goes to Council for approval in October. The Board <br /> can discuss any items to add to the CIP in May—Tim will <br /> provide a draft CIP and will attend the July meeting to discuss <br /> Board recommendations. <br /> • He'd like the Board to start thinking about large items the library <br /> may need because they need to be planned out over multiple <br /> years. I.e.,new roof,heat pump, furniture. <br /> Gary reported: <br /> • Repairs pending on the gutters in the back of the building on <br /> the east side (outside the children's room door). He is waiting <br /> • for the company with the lowest bid to call back. This will <br /> require roof reducing repair work also. <br /> • Slowly changing lighting to LED when bulbs burn out.The <br /> linear lights inside the building will remain for a while. <br /> • Staff will begin painting in the morning before the building is <br /> open to patrons. The paint will be low VOC. They plan to <br /> paint one section at a time and should start next week. <br /> • He will coordinate repair of the erosion on the pad on the <br /> side of the building with Tim Sevcik. <br /> 5.2 Old Business <br /> 5.2.a Approve Updated Bylaws <br /> The proposed changes to the bylaws were discussed and the <br /> following additional changes were agreed upon for vote at the May <br /> meeting: <br /> 1. Removed the reference to MN Statute 134.09 in Article V.E., <br /> Membership. <br /> 2. Added term limit to elected officers of the Board in Article <br /> IX, Officers, Elections,Duties. <br /> 3. Changed the language and removed the reference to MN <br /> Statute 134.13 in Article X,Annual Report. <br /> tIIEIEI IT <br /> NATURE <br />
