<br />City Council Minutes <br />October 18, 2004 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />----------------------------- <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER TVEITE AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO APPROVE THE CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT BY GUARDIAN ANGELS WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. IF FUTURE EXPANSION OF PARKING IS DESIRED, THE <br />APPLICANT SHALL APPLY FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. <br /> <br />2. NEW PARKING AREAS SHALL HAVE CONCRETE CURB AND <br />GUTTER. <br /> <br />3. ANY ITEM OR CONDITION FOUND THAT INDICATES THE SITE IS <br />LIKELY TO YIELD INFORMATION IMPORTANT TO PRE-HISTORY <br />OR HISTORY SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE CITY IMMEDIATELY. <br />FURTHER, THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO STOP WORK <br />AUTHORIZED IN ITS APPROVAL UNTIL THE SITE IS <br />APPROPRIATELY INVESTIGATED AND WORK IS AUTHORIZED TO <br />CONTINUE BY THE CITY. <br /> <br />4. Request bv Dean Bitner for Conditional Use Permit for Home Occupation Public Hearing- <br />Case No. CU 04-24 <br /> <br />Senior Planner Scott Harlicker submitted the staff report. Mr. Harlicker stated the applicant <br />is requesting a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to operate a contractor business as a home <br />occupation. Specifically, the use of a vehicle in excess of 26,000 pounds. He discussed the <br />outdoor storage locations and screening requirements from the neighbors. Mr. Harlicker <br />stated that he would like to add two more conditions to the CUP requirements: 1.) that the <br />site plan be revised to show the location of the outdoor storage area, and; 2.) that no <br />materials be stored outside. He stared that if the applicant added any additional equipment <br />to his business, then he must come back to the city for a review of his CUP. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, Mayor <br />Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing stated concerns of heavy equipment using the shared driveway. <br /> <br />Councilmember I<uester stated she is concerned about these types of home occupations. <br />She stated they bring noise to neighborhoods and can start to look like a work yard. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER TVEITE AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO ALLOW DEAN BITNER A HOME <br />OCCUPATION FOR A CONTRACTOR BUSINESS WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />CONDITIONS: <br />
