(See attached <br />pictures). <br />• One machine to purchase, program, test, support, store and maintain. <br />• One machine to train election workers on. <br />• Includes wireless modem to transmit results (carrier service with local provider is <br />separate cost only on election years.) <br />• Automatically produces a complete summary statement that's approved by the <br />Secretary of State. <br />Explanation of Fiscal Impact: <br />The Dominion Democracy Suite Voting System has a one-time cost of $489,640 and a five year <br />estimated cost of $164,485 for ongoing Annual Fees for Licenses and Firmware or approx. <br />$32,897 per year. Current budget for ongoing maintenance fees of $35,000 is currently <br />budgeted for in Department 065 (Elections), so that should not increase with this purchase. <br />I have saved in Department 065 for future election equipment $175,423 to be used towards the <br />County's costs. The County's share will be 52.4% of the cost and the Cities and the Townships <br />will share in 47.6% of the costs.
