Consider Commission Appointments and Assignments-The EDA currently <br /> maintains the following committees: <br /> Finance Committee <br /> Jim Simpson <br /> Tom McNair <br /> Jeff Gongoll <br /> Cliff Lundberg <br /> Dan Tviete <br /> Paul Motin <br /> Vacancy- (Tom Bender's EDA representative position) <br /> Business Incubator Advisory Committee <br /> Stephanie Klinzing <br /> Jeff Gongoll <br /> Larry Hickman <br /> Jim Barthel <br /> Jack Mowry <br /> Vacancy- (Daryl Thompson's EDA/Council representative position) <br /> The Marketing Committee was appointed with the task of completing the <br /> Strategic Industrial Marketing Plan. A similar committee may be reconvened <br /> . when the EDA updates the Industrial Marketing Plan in 2002. <br /> There are currently two vacancies-one on each committee. The role of the <br /> Incubator Advisory Committee is to review and critique business incubator <br /> prospects and make recommendations to the EDA regarding their joining <br /> the business incubator project. In the past the Incubator Advisory <br /> Committee consisted of three EDA representatives. It is appropriate at this <br /> time to appoint a representative from the EDA. <br /> The Finance Committee has also traditionally included three EDA <br /> representatives. However, since Dan Tviete's recent appointment to the <br /> EDA, the vacant position may also be filled by an at-large community <br /> representative. Staff welcomes suggestions by the commission. <br /> Staff recommends reappointment of the other current membership of the <br /> finance committee and business incubator advisory committee. <br /> f. Review Enabling Resolution/Bylaws for Suggested Changes-The EDA annual <br /> meeting provides the opportunity to review the bylaws and enabling <br /> resolution,which are attached,for suggested changes by the commissioners. <br /> 6. Strategic Industrial Marketing Plan <br /> • Staff will provide a verbal update of the Strategic Industrial Marketing activities that <br /> are being completed. <br />
