nup <br /> 1`)6Kristen Zschomler <br /> SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Over the past ten years,Kristen Zschomler has managed numerous archaeological, architectural, <br /> historical, and public education projects throughout the Midwest, Southeast, and the Caribbean. <br /> Archaeological studies have ranged from numerous cultural resources assessments and Phase I <br /> archaeology surveys throughout Minnesota; to survey of the Denis Bay Sugar Plantation <br /> Historic District, United States Virgin Islands; to testing at the Parris Island Military Base, <br /> South Carolina; to a data recovery at a Late Archaic/Late Woodland site in Alabama. Kristen is <br /> member of the Register of Professional Archaeologist(RPA)and has a focus on fur trade period <br /> archaeology. She recently co-authored a paper on trade bead chronology in Minnesota at the <br /> joint Plains/Midwest Conference. Kristen has also served as historian and architectural <br /> historian on various evaluations of eligibility, surveys, in-depth historic context studies, and <br /> HABS/HAER projects. Examples of historical and architectural projects include the in-depth <br /> documentation of a diversified farm in Olmsted County, Minnesota; the archival mitigation <br /> report on a pipeline crossing of the Illinois and Michigan Canal near Channahon, Illinois; the <br /> Illinois HABS Level III recordation of a Midwestern Feeder swine barn in Techny, Illinois; and <br /> the HABS Level I recordation of five Memorial bridges in Alabama. Kristen has been actively <br /> involved in the preparation of educational outreach materials and teaching guides for <br /> archaeology in Minnesota and Alabama.
