September, 2014 Through the State Corridors of Commerce solicitation, the city submitted three <br />projects for consideration: installation of adaptive signal controls along TH 10 and <br />TH 169, preliminary design for new ramps at the TH 10/101/169 Interchange and <br />design of and right-of-way acquisition for interchange on TH 10/169 at a future <br />extension of Twin Lakes Road (south of 167th Avenue Per FAST study). <br />April, 2015 <br />Testified before state legislative committees on bills introduced by Senator Kiffineyer <br />for the funding of a new interchange at TH 10/101/169 and installation of adaptive <br />controls along the TH 10 and TH 169 corridors in Elk River. Attachment 5 & 6 <br />October, 2015 <br />Took direction from City Council to study traffic flow and make recommendations <br />for mobility improvements in the Line Avenue, Main Street, Zane Street Area. <br />Attachment 7 <br />December, 2015 <br />Began design concepts for mobility improvements at the CSAH 1 and TH 10 <br />intersection as part of the 2017 Street Improvement project. <br />December, 2015 <br />Attended the kickoff meeting for the Metropolitan Council's Principal Arterial <br />Intersection Conversion Study. This study, expected to last 12-18 months, will <br />prioritize the needs for interchanges throughout the entire metro region. <br />Attachment 8 <br />Staff will walk through the above timeline and associated work involved.
