Section 3 Overall Scope of Services <br />The services required of the Consultant are anticipated to be provided beginning in November of 2015 and ending <br />after final acceptance of the skate park plan and construction documents. The selected Consultant shall be the <br />overall project lead and manager on behalf of the City. The Consultant shall report to and take direction from city <br />staff as directed by the City Council. <br />The Consultant's proposal should include a detailed scope and budget estimate for all services as outlined in this <br />RFP. Each element must be broken out as a separate item. <br />The City stresses Consultant's innovation, uniqueness and ingenuity in proposing scope of services. Recommended <br />changes to the scope will be considered and concerns regarding budget and time frames should also be identified. <br />The City proposes a team approach in the development of the design utilizing the services of the Consultant in <br />conjunction with the Parks and Recreation staff, Parks and Recreation Commission, and the Skate Park Committee. <br />Management Services <br />The Consultant will serve as assistant to the Recreation Manager throughout all elements of the skate park design <br />project. Services rendered shall include as a minimum: <br />1. Assistance in defining the maximum utilization of project resources in completing the scope of services, <br />taking into account budget and time frame constraints. <br />2. Assistance in preparing documents, graphics and mapping standards applicable to all. <br />Design and Construction Drawings <br />The Consultant shall: <br />1. Define materials and construction systems for a concrete skate park at Orono <br />2. Design drainage system to take into account the proximity to Orono Lake. <br />3. Develop outline specifications for the scope of the project. <br />4. Review draft and final design development sets with Parks and Recreation staff, the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission and the Skate Park Committee. <br />5. Drawings must include all costs, details, cross section, and profiles necessary to bid the project. <br />6. An additional cost option taking into consideration the reduced cost impact of utilizing donated concrete <br />and labor. <br />Section 4 Proposals <br />The proposal shall contain the type of information summarized below. Additional information is allowable, <br />providing it is directly relevant to the proposed project. <br />Proposal Format <br />The submittal should follow the Table of Contents listed below: <br />1. General Firm Introduction (include your firms expertise on the subject of this project) <br />2. Project Understanding <br />3. Project Approach <br />4. Proposed Project Team and Experience <br />
