Discussion was also held regarding whether or not the Elk River Mall was interested in securing the post office as a tenant. Following discussion it was the consensus of the HRA that the West Business Park would be a good location for the post office and would possibly promote interest for other businesses to locate in that area. It was further the consensus that if the post office relocated its retail business in the downtown area it may promote business for the existing retailers in the area. 7. Other Business 7.1. Change the February HRA Meetina Date to the 3rd Monday- February 16, 1999 COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO CHANGE THE FEBRUARY MEETING DATE FROM FEBRUARY 22 TO FEBRUARY 16 AT 5:00 P.M. COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 7.2. Discuss HRA Recommendation to Mayor/City Council for Appointment to the HRA to Replace Commissioner Farber Discussion was held by the HRA regarding a recommendation for the new HRA member. It was the consensus of the HRA that it would be beneficial to have a representative of the City Council on the HRA. Commissioner • Hinkle suggested that the HRA recommend the appointment of Councilmember Thompson to the HRA. It was the consensus of the HRA to authorize Paul Steinman to indicate to the Council that the HRA suggested the appointment of Councilmember Thompson. Paul Steinman distributed the action plan in relation to the central business district visioning process. 8. Adjournment There being no further business, COMMISSIONER TOTH MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0.
