Designate Official Depositories <br /> COMMISSIONER TOTH MOVED TO DESIGNATE THE FOLLOWING <br /> BANKS/INSTITUTIONS AS EDA OFFICIAL DEPOSITORIES FOR 1999: <br /> THE BANK OF ELK RIVER FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF ELK RIVER <br /> 4M FUND NORWEST BANK <br /> US BANK <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLF SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 6. Discuss Post Office Relocation Issue <br /> Director of Economic Development Paul Steinman stated that a letter had been <br /> sent to the postal service regarding discussions of relocation of their present <br /> operation. Paul explained that the proposed concept is to have the HRA and EDA <br /> cooperate to aid in the relocation of the post office distribution facility and retail <br /> service facility in separate locations. Staff is proposing that the HRA consider the <br /> concept of providing the King and Main lot to a developer, possibly at a reduced <br /> price in order to provide an incentive to the postal service to locate on the site as <br /> a primary tenant. It would be anticipated that the postal service would relocate its <br /> retail services at this site. Paul Steinman further indicated that he is proposing that <br /> the EDA sell the West Business Park lot to the postal services for its distribution <br /> operations. <br /> The HRA discussed the proposed concept. Discussion was held by the HRA <br /> regarding the amount of traffic that would be generated by the retail services of <br />
