Housing and Redevelopment Authority Minutes Page 4 <br /> August 28, 1995 <br /> Commissioner Schuldt indicated that he considers the project more of a park <br /> and recreation project rather than an HRA project. <br /> Commissioner Kropuenske indicated that this is a community-wide project and <br /> that the HRA should be the leader in the project rather than the City Council. <br /> Commissioner Farber indicated that if the public hearings are held and the <br /> project moves forward, then the HRA should take the lead in the project. <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO CONCEPTUALLY APPROVE A $150,000 <br /> ALLOCATION OF HRA FUNDS OVER A PERIOD OF YEARS TO HELP FUND THE <br /> MISSISSIPPI RIVERFRONT PATHWAY PROJECT, EXPRESSING THE HRA'S LEADERSHIP IN <br /> THIS PROJECT. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-1-1. Commissioner Schuldt opposed and Commissioner <br /> Duitsman abstained. <br /> 11.1. Consider Request to Schedule a Public Hearing to Consider the Riverfront <br /> Concept Plan for the Pathway Project <br /> COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE A HRA PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br /> OCTOBER 2, 1995, AT 5 P.M., TO CONSIDER THE CONCEPT PLANS FOR THE <br /> MISSISSIPPI RIVERFRONT PATHWAY PROJECT. COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.2. Consider Holding Regular HRA Meetings <br /> • Executive Director Bill Rubin suggested that the HRA may want to consider <br /> holding meetings on a regular basis rather than on an as-needed basis due to <br /> the increased issues pertaining to the HRA. <br /> Chair Schuldt indicated that if the Mississippi Riverfront Pathway Project <br /> becomes a reality and the HRA becomes the leader in the project, regular <br /> meetings may be necessary. It was the consensus of the HRA to discuss this issue <br /> at its next meeting. <br /> 12. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED TO ADJOURN <br /> THE MEETING OF THE HRA.
