Gift <br />certificates that can be used anywhere may be looked upon more favorably by the <br />employees; they can purchase their own "gift". It is the Committee's recommendation <br />that retirement gifts be handled primarily by the individual departments at this time. The <br />estimated costs of gift for 2000 is $'1,000, which is to be added to the estimated costs of <br />the lunch and dinner noted above. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Realizing the budget impact of the recommended change in gift policy and adding a <br />new item to the budget, the Committee recommends that money be included in the <br />2001 budget for either the lunch or dinner option for the 2001 Employee Appreciation <br />Event. <br /> <br />We are available as a Committee to answer any questions you may have. <br /> <br /> <br />
