City Council Minutes <br />July 24, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 171sT SITE FOR THE DEMO <br />CONTINGENT UPON RECEIVING INDEMNIFICATION FROM THE NCDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Klaers noted that the MnDOT Highway 10 study public information open <br />house is scheduled for Monday, August 20, at Big Lake City Hall from 4:30 - <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Klaers advised the council about a $3,500-$4,000 new septic system that <br />was needed at the Nord house. <br /> <br />Mr. Klaers noted that the Economic Development/Chamber Open House is <br />on Thursday, July 20, from 4 - 6 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Klaers stated that the Special City Council Budget Meeting scheduled for <br />Monday, August 7, 2000 needs to have an item added approving the hiring of <br />election judges. <br /> <br />COUNClLMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE ADDING THE HIRING OF ELECTION <br />JUDGES TO THE MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2000 SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL BUDGET <br />MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5.0. <br /> <br />Staff Updates <br /> <br />Director of Planning Michele McPherson stated that the Devine barn would be <br />moving down County Road 12 between 1:00 - 1:30 p.m., on July 25, 2000, if <br />anyone was interested in watching. <br /> <br />10. Executive Session of the City Council <br /> <br />COUNClLMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO CALL AN EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL TO DISCUSS THE CARGILL ASSESSMENT APPEAL. COUNClLMEMBER DIETZ <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />11.
