HKGI EXPERIENCE <br /> Lost Lake Canal and Greenway <br /> Mound,Minnesota <br /> The Greenway has catalyzed redevelopment along the Mound lakefront. <br /> HKGi custom designed the boardwalk and pier structure,drawing inspiration from <br /> historical structures from the early 1900s. <br /> During the early 20th Century,passenger steamers shuttled tourists from"the Big Lake;' <br /> Lake Minnetonka,through Lost Lake Canal and into Downtown Mound.These excursions <br /> REFERENCE <br /> afforded visitors the opportunity to spend a leisurely day along the shores of Lost Lake. <br /> Drawing inspiration from the Lake's resort-era history and seeking to recreate that Kandis Hanson <br /> pedestrian village experience,the City of Mound and HKGI developed Mound Visions as a City Manager <br /> plan to revitalize Downtown Mound.
