PROJECT APPROACH <br /> TASK 2-CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS- PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> Working with the continued direction of the City,our team will provide a complete draft <br /> 72.1Engineer final storm and final construction document(CD)set for the phase one expansion project. The <br /> e systems assumption is that all of the planned improvements are consolidated into one set of bid <br /> rating best practices <br /> 2.2 Finalize layout,details, <br /> documents,and that required landscape and civil tasks are to be accomplished under <br /> sections related to the site the direction of a general contractor. Specific construction timing,site availability,and <br /> features coordination with planned program events in the park(if deemed necessary)are controlled <br /> 2.3 Staff level meetings to in the plans via clear language in the special provisions of the project specifications. <br /> review progress <br /> 2.4 Develop final specifications The CD package will also include review sets for staff at interim stages of completion (50%, <br /> for the project <br /> 2.5 Present to sect the Park 90%,and 100%). The CD sets will include specifications(general conditions,technical <br /> Commission for approval specifications,and special provisions),plans(civil,landscape,sections)and all required <br /> 2.6 Initiate necessary project detailing to ensure that prospective bidders will have a clear understanding of the overall <br /> permits project design intent. The interim CD review process will utilize team meetings where <br /> 2.7 Assess bidding climate to <br /> determine the optimum all trades are represented to walk through the drawing sets and discuss potential design <br /> scenario and report to staff coordination issues. Cost analysis will also be completed at each review stage in the <br /> 2.8 Seek approval and process. <br /> authorization from the City <br /> Council to seek bids TASK 3-CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br /> Bidding related-Our team will coordinate an advertisement for bid,respond to bidder's <br /> questions,develop and distribute any required addenda,attend bid opening,tabulate bids, <br /> and review and recommend an apparent low bidder. <br /> Schedule/Bidding Note: Given the current high pricing that is occurring during the 2015 <br /> 3.1 Prepare an ad for bid and construction season,due in part to the fact that many contractors are already booked for <br /> assist in publishing Fall projects,we will also explore the potential for bidding this project in the Winter for <br /> 3.2 Support bidders completion in the Spring of 2016.
