The memo from Director of Planning <br />Michele McPherson indicated that the budget for Tro~ Brook Farms included <br />approximately $30,000 for a park shelter and that the cost to relocate and <br />refurbish the barn will more than likely be less than $30,000. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE $13,000 FOR THE COST OF <br />RELOCATING THE DEVINE BARN TO TROI'r BROOK FARMS. Update on Hi,qhway 10 Corridor Study Groups <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers updated the council on two Highway 10 corridor <br />study groups that have recently been meeting. <br /> <br />MnDOT Hi,qhway 10 Group <br /> <br />The city administrator informed the council that MnDOT has organized a study <br />group (corridor study) that deals with Highway 10 from Elk River through Becker. <br />He indicated that the role of the commi~ee is to develop recommendations for <br />local governments to consider and approve regarding the highway corridor and <br />access issues. <br /> <br />Hi.qhway 10 Corridor Coalition Group/North Metro <br /> <br />The city administrator indicated that the City of Coon Rapids is taking the lead to <br />research and address critical issues regarding improvement and expansion of <br />Highway 10. The main goal is a third lane on Highway 10. He indicated that the <br />study would include land use management along the corridor and coordinating <br />highway improvements with other multi-modal projects. The city administrator <br />indicated that this group is just starting to get organized and the membership <br />tentatively includes the cities of Coon Rapids, Anoka, Ramsey, Andover, Elk River, <br />and Anoka County. The council requested that the group invite Sherburne <br />County to join the coalition. <br /> <br />4.5. City En.qineer Update on 2000 Construction Projects <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 00-30 REQUESTING <br />FEDERAL PARTICIPATION IN UTILITY RELOCATION COSTS INVOLVING THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER TRUNK HIGHWAY 169 IN ELK <br />RIVER. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The city engineer updated the council on construction projects taking place in <br />Elk River, particularly construction relating to the east Elk River project. <br /> <br />5.
