•
October 14, 2003
To the City Council:
I can't believe that you would want to burden the people of Elk River with
taxes for the down town development that has been proposed, or for the
person hired as the engineer or director.
I can walk less than a block and I have delivered handicapped persons to the
back door of Kemper Drug to get their prescriptions. I have people all over
asking me to do something about it. Because of my reputation as Court
Administrator, they think I can save them! They trust me. I have a letter on
file in your office that I hope you will read, or have it read to you! And I
mean it.
I don't mind spending money for our schools and activities which are
411 necessities or the street project because I know it is needed. The change
proposed is not!!! After the first meeting this engineer told me that all they
were going to do was change some of the storefronts. What a lie that was!
Everyone wants the historic town atmosphere as is!! Talk about crime
moving this way. You are certainly trying to help it. Attorney at Law, Paul
Motin, must be looking for business. Only a miracle from God can save it.
We have enough expansion to the North, East, and West of us. I pray to
God that you will come to your senses.
Uri:
Loretta Moos
•
