Table 6.5 Level of Service Analysis <br />Level of service standards identify the minimum level of service required for recreation facilities such as ballfields, <br />courts, etc. The needs are based on the existing population levels, (22,974 in 2010) and projected population (34,890 in <br />2035). The standards are based on recommendations by the National Recreation and Park Association, an organization <br />of parks and recreation experts and professionals who have examined recreation and athletic facilities throughout the <br />nation, adjusted their findings to account for regional differences, and then provided guidelines based on population. <br />It is important to remember these standards are minimums and local conditions may necessitate provision of additional <br />facilities.
