COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7.0 -1. Commissioner Huberty abstained. <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO APPOINT JOHN KUESTER THE PARK L <br />RECREATION COMMISSION VICE CHAIR FOR 1999. COMMISSIONER PETERSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7 -0 -1. Commissioner Wester <br />abstained. <br />Planning Items <br />7.a. Star Light Estates <br />Steve Wensman reviewed the proposal by Art Peterson for preliminary and final <br />• plat approval of Star Light Estates. Mr. Peterson proposes to create a single 2.5 <br />acre residential lot with an existing house fronting on Meadowvale Road and a <br />13.25 acre outlot. He intends to sell the residential lot to his daughter, and to farm <br />the outlot until it is replatted at some point in the future. Staff recommends no <br />cash or park dedication fee since the new lot created is an existing residential <br />use. Park dedication will occur when the outlot is platted for residential., <br />COMMISSIONER WESTER MOVED TO RECOMMEND NO CASH OR PARK DEDICATION <br />FOR STAR LIGHT ESTATES BE REQUIRED, UNTIL THE OUTLOT IS PLATTED FOR <br />RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT. COMMISSIONER WESTRUM SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 8 -0. <br />7.b. Country Crossing Business Center 2nd Addition <br />Steve Wensman reviewed the proposed Country Crossing Business Center Third <br />Addition business park plat requested by Tony Emmerich of Country Ridge, Inc. <br />The Commissioners had no comment on the plat. <br />7.c. City Prooerfv off 191'' /z Street - Reauest to Remain Ooen Soace <br />Steve Wensman stated that a letter has been received requesting that the City <br />owned property on 191 -1/2 Street become a park. Steve explained that the <br />property is situated between a mini - storage and an apartment building. <br />Commissioner Dave Anderson indicated that the property is not appropriate for a <br />• park and should be sold as residential, but this would not be likely because of the <br />adjacent uses. <br />
