City Council Minutes Page 3 <br />April 10, 2000 <br /> <br /> County is working on a tE~x rebate policy also. He indicated that he would like the <br /> County's policy to be compatible with all city and township policies so as to <br /> reduce redundancy for the applicant. <br /> <br />4.5. Review Current Work on County Ditch # 28 <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf indicating that the city has encountered some problems with Ditch <br /># 28. He stated that the City Engineer is working with the county on the issue. <br /> <br />4.6. Discuss Solid Waste and Environmental Issues <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf and Dave Lucas discussed the revisions that have been made to the <br />Elk River Landfill permits at the city and that are being proposed to the county. <br /> <br />Steve stated that the county subsidy to the city - at the rate of $20/household - <br />for having organized recycling and taking our garbage to the RDF Plant is <br />working well and that the city hopes this program can continue. <br /> <br />Gravel Mining <br /> <br />Discussion took place regarding a possible gravel audit. It was the consensus of <br />the County Board and City Council to have the County conduct a gravel audit <br />and that the City would share the cost based on the percentage that it receives <br />from the gravel tax. <br /> <br />5. Other Business <br /> <br />There was no other business <br /> <br />6.
