8. Has an NPDES permit been obtained for this addition?
9. What will the Emergency Overflow Elevation and type of device be for the temporary
infiltration basin?
10. Soil borings will be required for this area to determine infiltration rates.
11. When is the permanent infiltration basin proposed to be installed?
12. While looking closer at the stormwater plans, a lowland area (labeled "temporary infiltration
area ") was discovered. According to the elevation and aerial imagery, it is possible that this
lowland area is considered wetland. Since a wetland delineation has not been conducted for
this area in the last 5 years, a wetland delineation will be required. If this lowland area is
determined to be a WCA regulated wetland, stormwater treatment may need to be relocated
in accordance with Sec. 30 -2175.
If you have any questions I can be reached at 763.635.1035. Please address these comments on
future plans submitted to the city.
Sincerely,
Zack Carlton, Planner I
City of Elk River
zcarlton@E1kRiverMN.gov
