Parks&Recreation Commission Minutes Page 3 <br /> October 8,2014 <br /> • Moved by Commissioner Sagan and seconded by Commissioner Holmgren to <br /> recommend to City Council to accept staff recommendations of the 2015 <br /> Parks Improvement Fund. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> 6.3 Park Dedication for Northstar Business Park Lot Split (LS 14-06) <br /> Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Ahlness and seconded by Commissioner Kallemeyn <br /> to recommend to City Council to accept staff recommendation that no park <br /> dedication is required for Northstar Business Park Lot Split as park <br /> dedication has already been satisfied. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> 7.1 Use of Chalk on Trail System <br /> Commissioner Anderson discussed the use of chalk on the trail system for rental <br /> events, sharing that it is not offensive. <br /> Commission members were in consensus that chalk could be used during events on <br /> the trail system. <br /> 8. Parks and Recreation Director Report <br /> • Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br /> 9. Division Manager's Reports <br /> Mr. Benoit presented his staff report. <br /> 10. Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update and Priorities <br /> Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br /> 11. Announcements <br /> Commissioner Anderson shared that there has been about one volunteer applicant a <br /> week coming in on a regular basis. <br /> Mayor Dietz shared that there are still some residents concerned about the hunting <br /> on the Houlton Property once it becomes a park and that there will be monitored <br /> use of the park once it opens. <br /> 12.
