6.6 <br /> <br />7.0 <br /> <br />elected for three year terms but limited to two consecutive <br />terms. Members will be elected by written ballot at the Annual <br />Mee~ng. <br /> <br />6.5.1 <br /> <br />The Review Board shall report to the Chief.at the <br />beginning of each quarter the n~mes and deficiencies of <br />members who did not meet the minimum requirements .. <br />spe~i~ed in the Duties and Det~il.~ for the previous <br />quarter. Members shall receive quarterly copies of <br />deficiency reports so that the members may m~int~in or <br />restore their good standing in the Department. Also the <br />Board may be requested to hold hearings on alleged <br />wrong doing as described in Section 3.6 of these By-Laws. <br /> <br />6.5.2 <br /> <br />The Communications Board shall be the liaison between <br />the membership and the officers of the Department. The <br />Board shall hear grievances, petitions, complaints, or <br />suggestions of the membership. If the Board ~nds the <br />grievance or petition is jus~ied, it shall be their duty to <br />the best of their ability to resolve the issue to promote <br />equality and harmony within the Department. <br /> <br />Only the Chief, and the Assistant Chief, when acting in the <br />capacity of the Chief, shall have the power to make binding <br />contracts in behalf of the Department as authorized by the City <br />Council and Ordinance. <br /> <br />Committees and Special Business <br /> <br />7.1 All committees shall be appointed by the Chief. <br /> <br />8.1 <br /> <br />The Elk River Fire and Ambulance Service will own and <br />operate an Ambulance Service licensed by the State of <br />~inuesota Department of Health. <br /> <br />8.2 <br /> <br />The Ambulance Service will be directed by a five-member <br />Board of Directors (BOD). All Directors shall be active <br />members of the Department and elected by ballot for two <br />year terms at the Annual Mee~ng. <br /> <br />8.2.1 <br /> <br />The BOD membership shall include two active <br />Firefighter Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), <br />two non-EMT firefighters and one at-large <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
