Recreation Department - On January 1, 2002, the city officially becomes the <br />employer of Michele Bergh, Recreation Manager; RaeAnn Gardner, Office Assistant <br />I; and Darci Stiff, Program Assistant, for the Recreation Department. The Office <br />Assistant I position is an existing position: however, Recreation Manager and <br />Program Assistant are new city positions for which point values need to be assigned. <br /> <br />Committee Recommendation -Establish Recreation Manager at 81 points <br />and pay grade 3E and establish Program Assistant at 55 points and pay <br />grade 6. <br /> <br />Mechanic - With the addition of a second mechanic, there is a need to develop a <br />Lead Mechanic classification. In reviewing the current mechanic position profile, it <br />was noted that Lead Mechanic duties were included in the Mechanic profile. <br /> <br />Committee Recommendation - Create a Mechanic position at 64 points <br />and pay grade 9 and change the previous Mechanic position to Lead <br />Mechanic with the point value to remain at 67 which falls in pay grade 10. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />The City Council is asked to approve the position point value and pay grade changes stated <br />above as recommended by the Personnel Committee based on the current job duties of each <br />of the positions. <br /> <br />S/council/lori/PersonnelCommRecom <br /> <br /> <br />
